2. What information do we collect?
We collect as little personal information as possible. Specifically:
- Technical data — IP address (anonymised), browser type, operating system, referring website and language setting. This is needed to run the site securely and reliably.
- Usage statistics — pages visited, clicks and templates downloaded. We only collect this with your consent through the cookie banner.
- Contact details — when you email us: your email address and the contents of your message.
We do not require registration, a newsletter sign-up or any payment details to download templates.
3. Why we use the information
- To protect the site from misuse (technical data).
- To understand which templates are used most, so we can improve the collection (analytics cookies — with consent).
- To answer your contact enquiry.
- To show ads through advertising networks (only with your explicit consent).
4. Who we share information with
We do not sell your information. We only share it with:
- Our hosting provider — to run the website.
- Google Analytics — with anonymised IP, only after consent through the cookie banner.
- Advertising networks (Google AdSense) — only if you accept personalised ads.
Some of these providers may store data overseas. Where information is sent outside New Zealand, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is protected by comparable safeguards (IPP 12).
5. How long we keep information
- Access logs: up to 6 months.
- Statistics (anonymised): up to 26 months.
- Emails: up to 24 months after the last reply.
6. Your rights under the Privacy Act 2020
- Access — ask what personal information we hold about you (IPP 6).
- Correction — ask us to correct information that is wrong (IPP 7).
- Withdraw consent — for cookies and ads, through the cookie settings on this site.
Email [email protected] to make a request. We will respond within 20 working days, as required by the Privacy Act.
7. Making a complaint
If you are not happy with how we handle your information, contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (privacy.org.nz).
8. Privacy breaches
If a privacy breach occurs that is likely to cause serious harm, we will notify the affected people and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner as soon as practicable, as required by the Privacy Act 2020.
9. Changes
We may update this policy if our practices or the law change. The current version is always on this page.
